Master Carpenter Eric Schade reports: “I went into the shop today to make hardware for the screen frames on the clerestory of the coach. Each set of two clerestory windows has a frame with screen to keep the cinders and bugs out of the coach when the windows are opened. Steel bolts will be screwed next to the windows and holes in the screen frames. Nuts will secure the frames in place.”

“I made 40 plus of the bolts from 1/2″ steel rod. I threaded them, then forged them into shape and finally drilled holes for the screws.”

“Ron Ginger has been making the wooden frames.”
