TRAIN EXCURSIONS AND ACTIVITIES/EVENTS

The best things to do in Midcoast Maine

The WW&F Railway Museum in Alna, Maine is the Region’s Premier Historic Attraction

The calendar below indicates the days that we are offering train rides, excursions, volunteer work parties, or other special events. Click a date and time to book a specific train or event. Beneath the calendar is a listing of all of the upcoming events and activities; click Learn More for a complete description of that item, browse all of the dates it is offered, and to purchase tickets.

The museum is closed on dates that do not indicate an activity or event.

Tips:

  • The Sheepscot Valley Steam Train is a “train ride only”, which does not include any additional special events.
  • If a specific date, time, or event is unavailable, email info@wwfry.org to be notified if tickets become available.
  • The museum is closed on dates that do not indicate an activity or event. However, visitors are still welcome to stop in to explore the railyard or engage any volunteers who may or may not be present.
  • Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended – our narrow gauge trains have limited capacity.

Note: All train rides and activities depart from Sheepscot station at 97 Cross Road in Alna, Maine.
There are (presently) no stations in Wiscasset, Waterville, or Farmington.
(Do not drive directly to SeaLyon Farm or The Alna Store for joint events – you’ll miss your train ride!)
