Visitors to this weekend’s Lavender Pickin’ Train to SeaLyon Farm, Music on the Railway Concert Featuring Half Moon Jug Band and passengers aboard the Sheepscot Valley Steam Train should stop into “Bay 4” to see the progress on W&Q Coach 9.
During the past few weeks, work has been done on the end platform railings. These photos show some of the work done to reinforce a hole in the railing in order to install a bracket to hold the brake staff.

You are looking at the south end of coach 9. Here, the brake wheel has been attached to the staff and the assembly has been installed on the platform. More work is needed to finish the railing.

Speaking of progress, we’re just $7000 shy of our $120,000 goal to “Finish Coach 9 to the Nines!” – thanks in part from a generous grant provided by the Massachusetts Bay Railroad Enthusiasts! Please learn more, and help push this project over the finish line, at https://wwfry.org/coach9.

Thanks for your continued support and interest in the WW&F!
