Work Car 1007 – Compressor Car

Compressor car X5 was built by Museum member and volunteer Gary Recave in 2005 for the Museum to mount an air compressor.  The work car has an air tank as well as hose storage, plus a small toolbox and room to store tools.  The compressor is used to generate compressed air for the Museum’s hand-held track tampers.

The car was renumbered from X5 to 1007 in a work car renumbering plan in 2012.
