Quick Details
This spring, ride the historic WW&F “narrow gauge” railway – one of Midcoast Maine’s hidden gems – on a five-mile (round trip) 50-minute excursion.
About The Experience
Board your train at Sheepscot station for a steam-powered ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Top of Mountain. After a layover to allow the locomotive to “run-around” the train, we’ll return back to Sheepscot station where you’ll want to explore our railyard, examine our displays, and peruse our gift shop.
Ticket price includes the steam train ride as well as parking at Sheepscot. We a pleased to accommodate passengers requiring extra assistance, including those in wheelchairs on this train. Small, well-behaved dogs are allowed at the discretion of the Conductor (limit 1 per train; first come first served.)
The Sheepscot Springday Steam-up Trains depart Sheepscot station (97 Cross Road, Alna) promptly at their scheduled times.
We look forward to seeing you on the narrow gauge!
NOTE: The Sheepscot Springday Steam-up does not include connecting service to SeaLyon Farm (or admission to their special event). This train also does not traverse the Mountain Extension to Trout Brook.
