Ice Cream, Dolls & Plushies Train
Bring a friend on a railway adventure.
Calling children of All Ages!
Bring your doll or stuffed toy to ride the railway for Ice Cream and More!
With friend in-tow, board the historic narrow gauge steam train at Sheepscot station for a ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Alna Center where ice cream and fun awaits.
At Alna Center, enjoy farm-fresh locally-made ice cream, a story time, arts & crafts, and other fun games and activities – all hosted underneath our spacious event pavilion – perfect in any weather! Then board the train for the return trip back home.
Ticket price includes the historic steam train ride to Alna Center, ice cream, story time, and crafts/activities. This train does not traverse the entire route of the WW&F Railway; those who wish to ride the full length should purchase tickets for the Sheepscot Valley Steam Train instead.
Note that due to the layout at Alna Center, wheelchairs can not be accommodated. While stuffed animals are welcome, we can not host pets during this special event.
The Ice Cream, Dolls, and Plushies Train departs Sheepscot station promptly at 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, August 16th. Please anticipate traffic conditions on Route 1 in Wiscasset.
We look forward to seeing you on the narrow gauge!
Caboose Adventure
Ride the Ice Cream, Dolls & Plushies Train in your very own caboose!
Bring your family (or small group) for unique ride on the narrow gauge railroad! Your group (of up to 15 people) gets exclusive access to the “little red caboose” along the WW&F railway. And yes, you can ride “up top” in the cupola (although adults will need to watch their heads!)

Enjoy Maine at Your Own Pace
We took our family from Florida to visit best parts of southern Maine. A standout is the WWF Railway & Museum. The narrow gauge steam rail is great fun for old folks like me and our grandchildren, children. You have a choice of open cars or adjustable window cars and comfy seats. Staff wears period clothes and give lots of updates to passing scenery and history of the railroad company. Exceptional train ride and kept little ones entertained. Don’t miss the gift shop. Good stuff great prices.
