Ride the WW&F for a Good Cause: Oct 27th at 2:30pm.

On Monday, October 21st our neighbor on Cross Road, 83 year-old John Seigars, lost his house and all his worldly possessions in a devastating structure fire.

In cooperation with John’s Family, the WW&F is running a special train on Sunday, October 27th. Departing at 2:30pm from our station at 97 Cross Road, Alna, Maine, this special fundraiser will feature our venerable diesel 52 on a trip to Trout Brook and return.

The suggested donation for this special trip is $10 per person, with all proceeds (and any additional donations received) going directly to John so that he can start to recover from this tragedy.

This fundraiser is timed so that visitors can ride the train to Trout Brook and return, then drive over to The Alna Store for their annual Trick or Treat Street event which begins at 4pm.

Advance reservations are highly recommended as we know our community will want to come out and support one of its own during his time of need.
