Fresh Lavender, Farmstand Food, a Fantastic Family Outing.
Quick Details
Board your train at Sheepscot station for a steam-powered ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Top of Mountain where you’ll want to join our friends from SeaLyon Farm for a railroader’s cookout.
At the cookout, feast on the offerings by The Wicked Tater and drink from Maine Tasting Center. Other activities include the SeaLyon farm stand store, horse-drawn wagon rides, games, etc. After a 90 min layover to enjoy the food, fun and festivities, we’ll all return back to Sheepscot station (via an extended trip on the newly-opened Mountain Extension to Trout Brook) where you’ll want to explore our railyard, examine our displays, and peruse our gift shop. The entire experience takes just over 3 hours.
Ticket price includes the historic steam train, horse and tractor drawn wagon rides, admission to SeaLyon Farm, as well as parking at Sheepscot. All food, additional refreshments, goodies, and other farm products are sold separately by SeaLyon Farm and their partners. Note that due to the nature of this event, wheelchairs can not be accommodated at the farm.
Unfortunately, pets can not be accommodated during this special event.
