May 26 @ 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Join the 103rd Regiment Living History and the WW&F Railway May 25th and 26th as we remember the end of the Great War a century ago during

End of the Track
The 103rd Regiment Returns Home to Maine.

In May 1919, after leaving the state of Maine in August 1917, and serving in France of over a year in the Great War, the men of Maine returned home.  From here they would have to readjust to the life of a civilian.

On Memorial Day weekend come help us commemorate this event, along with the Wiscasset Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum.

Come see the military encampment as the soldiers practice military exercises. Also see how the home front was affected by the war.

Steam trains depart the Museum grounds at Sheepscot at:
10:30 AM • 12 Noon • 1:30 PM • 3 PM
for a 40- to 50-minute, 5-mile round trip, weather, equipment and crew permitting.
Diesel trains depart the Museum grounds at Sheepscot at:
10:55 AM • 12:25 PM • 1:55 PM
for a 40- to 50-minute, 5-mile round trip, if diesel crew and equipment are available.

Our passengers are welcome to stop at Alna Center and visit the 103rd.  Passengers can take any later train to complete their round trip to Top of the Mountain and return, or take the southbound train directly back to Sheepscot.  Our last train back to Sheepscot will be a  little after 3.30 p.m.

Regular train fares apply.  As always, active and retired military receive a $1 discount on fare.
