Special Event! Our Annual Fall Work Weekend!

October 9 @ 7:00 AM - October 12 @ 1:00 PM

Every year since 1997, volunteers from around the country and overseas have traveled to our Museum in late April and over Indigenous Peoples’/Columbus Day weekend to help work on numerous projects at our Museum.

Our main project this Fall Work Weekend will be the construction of track at our planned Trout Brook station plus ballasting, lifting, lining and tamping the new track elsewhere on our Mountain Extension, in preparation for the extension’s opening during our Annual Picnic in August 2021.  We’ll also be working on a few other projects over the weekend.

Of course, everyone is welcome to stop by & see how the Sheepscot Valley Narrow Gauge is maintained and grows!

Work will start at 7 a.m. and end around 5 p.m. (or a bit earlier Monday). Delicious lunches (Friday – Monday) and dinners (Friday – Sunday) will be provided to volunteers by our Museum.
